ECO2 Forests Environmental Policy
ECO2 Forests’ commitment to alternative forestry means we work to ensure our activities, products and services enhance the environment in the communities in which we operate. All of our projects, including the Global Forestry Plan with the Kiri Tree, are included in our policies
This policy covers ECO2 Forests’ operations in Australia and overseas.
We are committed to environmental improvement and preventing pollution and carbon sequestration in all projects we undertake and all workplaces ECO2 Forests occupy.
We work with land holders, local communities, governments and investors to develop alternative forestry projects that:
- Create positive economic and environmental outcomes for the local community
- Create long term employment for local communities in which our forests are created
- Provide large scale bio-sequestration of carbon dioxide greenhouse gases and delivery of sustainable timber to global markets
- Require employees to comply with all applicable environmental laws, regulations and standards
- Continuously identify and manage environmental risks within our operations and apply best practice principles to the prevention of pollution and environmental damage
- Use natural resources responsibly and minimize the environmental impacts in all projects undertaken
- Continually improve performance through training, management review, research and development and consultation with the community.
