The Afforestation project at Smoke Creek in the state of Nevada, USA is the first of a Program of Projects consisting of approximately 14,000 acres. These projects are scheduled to roll out annually to provide an annual lumber supply for the project lifespan.
Smoke Creek will be the first project on US soil and has been warmly welcomed by local and state governments as well as the local community, who will be employed in the project.

- 2,000 acres (approx) to be forested.

- 80 million board feet (190,000 m3).

Projected Revenue for each harvest cycle of 7-years
- $225 million ($213 million in lumber sales, $12 million carbon credit sales).
- Average revenue per acre - $112,000.
Community Impact
- Up to 80 full and part-time jobs created. Sourced from local communities. This number is expected to grow significantly as the Program of Projects roll out in coming years.
- Full training in latest green technologies for local communities who will also then have opportunities to work on other projects within the Program of Projects.
- New industry introduced to the region utilizing underused infrastructure as well as development of additional infrastructure.
Environmental Impact
- Sustainable lumber management and minimum land usage.
- Lumber yield equivalent of a 14,000 acre forest of traditional forested species, with continual timber supply after just seven years.
- Reduction of need to log existing rainforests in the US and globally.
- 900,000 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) removed from the atmosphere (Carbon sequestration) for each 7-year harvest cycle.
